My first experience of jewellery making, in January 2018, changed me. I walked away from a three-hour, one-to-one session, with a local silversmith, wearing a beautiful turquoise cabochon stone set ring, made by me, and I was in awe!!
From that moment on, my new-found love consumed me (in the best way!) and has taken me on a jewellery journey of discovery that I never thought possible.
The honest part…it was suffering a missed miscarriage in late 2017 that set me on this path. Through both the physical and mental struggles that have followed, making jewellery has been a saving grace in many respects, and has led me to recognise the joys of self-preservation, self-protection and self-care.
I have taken the biggest leap of faith, leaving a fruitful career in journalism, broadcasting and project management behind, to pursue a dream to ‘Be More Me’.
